Anchor Butter

Anchor stands for 'proven nutrition'. It was created in New Zealand in 1886 and today there is a wide range of Anchor dairy products sold in over 100 countries. Anchor butter is made from New Zealand milk and is loved by consumers all over the world. In 2015, Sakr group added the globally recognised, premium butter brand Anchor to its portfolio through an agreement with Fonterra, leveraging the New Zealand flavour, quality and integrity.

The launch event took place in Cairo with 250 attendees that included Egyptian government ministers, officers from the New Zealand embassy, foodservice industry professionals and local customers.

Fonterra's Regional Director of Ingredients for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hans Huistra, proclaimed that the launch would help to meet Egyptians growing demand for high-quality dairy products. Egyptians love New Zealand butter.

We sell substantial quantities in bulk formats to Egyptian food companies, and we are excited to extend this into more premium consumer formats with Anchor.
